AB Platelet and Plasma Program

ABS is looking for AB Type Donors to join our new AB Platelet and Plasma Program called AB Platelet Pals. Ideally, we would like anyone who is Type AB to come in once a month to donate a platelet and plasma product that will be used exclusively for children who have been in trauma accidents who are being treated at Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta. Please give us a call if you are interested!

Mobiles & Sponsoring a Blood Drive ABS now has the capabilities to come to your business, religious organization, social organization or school! Please call 404-459-8744 if you are interested in sponsoring a mobile blood drive with ABS!

National Marrow Donor Program The National Marrrow Donor Program (NMDP) is now partnered with ABS as a collection site for the national registery.

Registration to join the NMDP registery is FREE when you donate with ABS. There may be a fee to join if you do not donate with ABS, please call for any further questions concerning this matter.

The NMDP helps people who need life-saving marrow or cord blood transplants. The general gudelines are that you need to be between the ages of 18 and 60, be willing to donate to any patient in need (with who you are a match with) and you must meet all health guidelines.

Double Red Cell Donations ABS is now able to collect 2 units of Red Blood Cells in one donation! Blood donors who give 4 or 6 times a year will like the efficiency of donating DRC's as they will be able to come in just 2 or 3 times a year and double the effectiveness of their blood donations! If you are interested in becoming a DRC donor please speak to an employee when you come in to donate.
